Stills

1 On the kitchen windowsill; basil for salads + sandwiches, chamomile waiting to be dried and nasturtiums, the petals for salads but mainly for prettiness.

2 Basil, chives, parsley and strawberries all thriving on our back porch (the rest of the garden is weeds).

3 BEAUTIFUL linocut thank you cards – ordered from Amelia Herbertson written and posted to everyone who helped warm our home.

4 Attempting to squish Nora into a tub to cool off. It didn't work, she ended up in the kitchen sink (as per usual).

5 Oscar trying on my new shoes.

6 Papa's home! (It was Friday, it was hot, both my children spent the majority of the day naked).

Linking to the lovely Em at The Beetleshack.

  1. I remember bathing my little girl in a big tub at my sisters place once as she didn't have a bath tub! Makes very funny photo ops! The cards are beautiful.

    1. I used to always bath Oscar in tubs, as we didn't have a bathtub in our old apartment. Now we have one, but it must be a hard habit to break, plus it is convenient, she can play while I can tidy/cook around her.

    1. It is beautiful (I don't mean to gloat, but I still get a little excited when I see it because it is new). And I LOVE having a pantry. Those tall cupboards are actually really shallow, meaning you don't loose anything down the back.

  16. The blue on your cabinets is the exact color I've been wanting to paint my girls' bedroom-- did those come painted like that or did you paint them and if so, what is the color? What a beautiful place to create delectables...

    1. Sorry, its laminex – they call the colour stipple aquatic. It is a beautiful place to cook, I love the colour.

I did paint Nora's room almost exactly the same colour, it is wattyl academy grey (looks totally different if you google it). I'm not sure if you have the brand wattyl where you are. Good luck with your search.
