Ornament swap, the middle

My snowflake-star is currently being used as a coaster on my bedside table. I decided it wasn't right for my swap partner and went back to the drawing board.

This naive little wool felt owlet is the result. He's a bit rough around the edges, which I'm hoping can be passed off as charm! I based the design upon this gorgeous illustration (originally pinned from here). Now, I'm plagued with uncertainties as to how it will be received – but he'll be on his way shortly – I'm trying not to overthink these things.

I'm loving seeing what everyone else is creating – linking up on Christina Lowry's blog.

  4. I would be delighted to receive this little lovely ... don't worry ... he will be loved ... thanks for your comment earlier ... my swap is a nice idea but quite a lot of pressure ... my partner wanted to make all 24 items and I crazily agreed :) ... it has been difficult fitting it around the little ones ... while I enjoyed it I wouldn't do it again ... I think I will stick to one item swaps ... Bee xx

    1. Lol. They're wings. After I finished him I thought, "oh no, he looks like a gremlin with ears ...". If I ever make another little owl, I'll think the wing shape through thoroughly!
